The EIB, the European Union's bank, is seeking to recruit for its Group Corporate Services Directorate - Group Digital Office (GCS-GDO) - Platforms & Services Department (P&S) - Infrastructure Services Division (IS) - Network and Data Centre Unit (NDC),at its headquarters in Luxembourg a (Senior) Container Platform Engineer. This is a full time position at grade 5/6.
Panel interviews are anticipated for end of August/beginning of September.
The term of this contract is 4 years.
The EIB offers fixed-term contracts of up to a maximum of 6 years, according to business needs, with a possibility to convert to a permanent contract, subject to organisational requirements and individual performance.

In this role you will be responsible for the technology roadmap, design, implementation and management of daily operations for Container Platform Services to meet the functional and technology needs of the organisation.
The unit is responsible for managing and delivering IT infrastructure services in the area of network and data centre technologies. You would report directly to the Head of Unit and coordinate up to 10 consultants (engineers, technicians) for projects and daily operations.
University degree in computer science or related disciplines
At least 5 years of relevant professional experience in IT infrastructure, of which at least 2 years of experience in building and maintaining Kubernetes cluster deployments
Demonstrated competency in a programming/scripting language (e.g. python)
Experience with CI/CD DevOps deployment tools such as Ansible, Jenkins and GitHub are a plus
Proven experience of delivering IT Infrastructure projects and managing project teams, including rollout of new technologies in an enterprise wide infrastructures
Experience in designing and/or in troubleshooting infrastructure issues and providing first-class customer service including common GNU/Linux distributions
CNCF Certified Kubernetes Administrator (CKA) would be an asset
Good understanding of client server and web application architectures and knowledge of best practices from an IT Infrastructure point of view to support such applications
Excellent knowledge of English and/or French (*), with a good knowledge of the other. Knowledge of other EU languages would be an advantage.
