As a Communications Specialist Social Media, you will:
develop tools and methods for the analysis of digital media to provide a better understanding of the impact of the ECB’s communication efforts;
handle and analyse data to provide intelligence and strategic advice to ECB management, highlighting possible communication challenges and opportunities;
conduct ongoing and ad hoc research using quantitative and qualitative methods on topics of relevance for our Directorate General in particular and the ECB as a whole;
compile reports on the use of the ECB’s website and the impact of our digital outreach;
participate in developing and analysing key performance indicators for digital content;
develop data visualisation methods to enhance the presentation of analytical work.

Qualifications, experience and skills
a bachelor’s degree or equivalent in communications, economics, international relations, business administration, political science, psychology, public relations or another relevant field (for details on degree equivalences, read more);
in addition to the above, a minimum of two years’ experience in communications, including in the context of measuring its impact;
a clear understanding of the ECB’s mission, tasks and responsibilities and the ability to describe them in clear and simple terms;
a strong aptitude with digital analytics tools such as Google Analytics;
good communication, presentation and drafting skills;
the ability to present complex data to different audiences;
experience with data visualisation tools such as Tableau or Google Data Studio;
the ability to deliver high-quality work within tight time frames.
