Laboratory Scientific Officer in the Clinical Genetics Clinic (Ref. Code: 190817). The Cyprus Institute of Neurology and Genetics is looking for a Laboratory Scientific Officer for its Clinical Genetics Clinic.
RESPONSIBILITIES
The successful candidate will work on the development of a web-based patient registry on congenital malformations, as well as other databases and analytical tools in order to facilitate our clinical and genetic research on congenital malformations.
The position is for a period of 12 months with a possibility of extension.


ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS
BSc or equivalent degree in Computer Science, or Bioinformatics or Computational Biology
DESIRABLE REQUIREMENTS
• MSc or PhD degree in Computer Science, Bioinformatics or related field


Documented prior work experience in:
Web - development
Database design and development and knowledge of MySQL
Data mining and data analysis
Bioinformatics
